Robert B. Brannen, Jr. received his B.A. degree from Davidson College in 1983 and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1986 where he served on the editorial board of the Georgia Law Review.
Mr. Brannen represents title insurance companies in multi-million dollar transactions and represents local and national development companies, equity funds and construction companies in the acquisition, financing and development of real estate for retail, office, industrial and residential development. Mr. Brannen also represents lending institutions involved in loan closings and the workout and foreclosure of complex properties.
Mr. Brannen is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, State Bar of South Carolina and the Savannah Bar Association. He serves on the executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the Board of Directors of the Savannah Homebuilders Association. He is a member of the Engineers and Developers Counsel of the Savannah Homebuilders Association, Savannah Board of Realtors, the Savannah/Hilton Head Commercial Counsel of Realtors and the Savannah Mortgage Bankers Association. He has previously served as counsel for the Savannah Board of Realtors and the Savannah Multi-List Corporation, and represents The Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity, Inc.
Mr. Brannen is a frequent seminar speaker and has recently provided presentations on “Drafting the Unbreakable Sales Contract,” “Issues in Troubled Residential Developments,” “Short Sales and Realtor Liability,” and the “Unauthorized Practice of Law.”
Representative developments Mr. Brannen has been involved with in the Savannah area include Savannah River Landings, New Hampstead, Savannah Quarters, Southbridge and Berwick Plantation.
