Inglesby, Falligant, Horne, Courington & Chisholm has a unique real estate practice, handling everything from complex commercial transactions to residential closing services. The Firm routinely handles multi-million dollar transactions for national title insurance companies, and has extensive experience representing local, regional and national developers in the acquisition and development of office, retail, industrial and residential real estate. Its representation of real estate developers includes title examinations, acquisition, permitting, zoning, financing, governmental agreements, contracting, leasing and drafting of development documents. The Firm also represents financial institutions in general corporate and real estate matters as well as closing loan transactions. The Firm also represents companies handling the marketing and sale of REO properties for the entire state of Georgia.
In addition to an extensive commercial practice, the Firm's attorneys have been providing residential closing services for over 28 years. The real estate department currently employs five full-time paralegals capable of handling numerous closings each week with active attorney supervision and involvement. Upon receipt of each new closing request, an experienced and well trained closing paralegal is assigned to personally serve each client from contract to final disbursement.
Litigation
The Firm's attorneys are involved in almost all fields of civil litigation and regularly appear before State and Federal courts throughout South and Central Georgia at both the trial and appellate levels. The Firm's broad range of litigation and trial experience includes disputes relating to business and corporate law, personal injury, real property, transportation law, domestic relations, will contests and product liability. Creditors Rights
In addition to its representation of borrowers and lenders in commercial loan transactions, the Firm has extensive experience representing banks and other lending institutions in connection with problem loan workouts, commercial collection efforts and foreclosures. The Firm often prepares loan documentation for lenders and also reviews their existing loan documentation to ensure that the represented transactions are properly documented, that any required recordings or filings have been made and that the documents afford the client the full extent of all rights and remedies available to it under the law.

For new businesses, the Firm advises clients regarding choice of business entity and provides assistance in the formation of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. For clients acquiring a business, services include drafting and reviewing sales contracts, site acquisition or leasing, and financing. The Firm represents numerous businesses, large and small, as general counsel, addressing legal issues that arise on a daily basis, including shareholder agreements, employment agreements, business contracts and collection of accounts. The firm routinely provides assistance in resolving business disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Construction
The Firm represents owners, contractors and material suppliers in connection with private and public construction projects. The Firm is involved in all aspects of construction law, including contract drafting, preliminary notice requirements, mechanic's and materialmen's liens, bond claims and Miller Act claims. The Firm has successfully litigated numerous construction related disputes on behalf of its clients.
Estate Planning
Attorneys at the Firm have developed expertise in will drafting, estate planning, trust work and the administration of estates, and they appear frequently in probate court. These lawyers routinely draft wills and trusts as well as powers of attorney and heath care documents. They also probate wills in Chatham County and surrounding counties and help heirs administer the estates of deceased persons without wills. Other matters routinely handled include petitions for conservatorships and guardianships.
